【OICA】2025 Fall Semester International Student Scholarship Application

1. Applications for the Scholarship for International Students for the 2025 Fall Semester will be open from June 9th (Monday),2025 to June 20th (Friday), 2025.

2. Undergraduate students are not required to submit the application form, OICA will proactively review undergraduate students who meet the application criteria.

3. Master and Ph.D. students, due to additional criteria, are still required to submit the application form.

4. If you have other supporting documents, such as a volunteer or service certificate, please submit them to OICA during the mentioned application period. Service learning hours will be recognized until May 31st, 2025.

(Notice!!) Application for International Student Scholarship at I-Shou University


1. According to the announcement approved on July 27, 2022, the deadline for the International Student Scholarship has been revised. According to Article 8,

continuing students shall file an application to the Office of International & Cross-strait Affairs between the seventeenth and eighteenth weeks during the semester.


2. According to Article 7, the application requirements for International Student Scholarship are as follows:


A. Having studied at the University for one full academic year, and having been ranked among the top 40% in his/her class in terms of the average semester grade in the previous semester;

B. Having received a personal conduct score of 85 or higher, and having no record of minor demerits or even severer punishment in the previous semester; and

C. Having taken at least nine credits in the previous semester [if he/she has taken less than nine credits in the previous semester, the scholarship amount will be decreased on a pro-rata basis (formula: the scholarship amount x number of credits taken/9)].


3. According to Article 9, the documents to be submitted for International Student Scholarship are as follows:

A. a completed application form (required for master's students only);

B. master’s and doctoral programs may provide the Office with an academic performance standard as a reference for awarding scholarships;

C. the proof of international volunteer service; or

D. certificates of service-learning


4. International Student Scholarship emphasizes excellence in academics, extracurriculum and service learning. Therefore, besides academic and conduct performance, active participation in service-learning activities and extracurriculum are also considered in the evaluation. Service-learning hours are capped at 60 hours, and other outstanding performances require relevant certificates for verification.


5. In line with the scholarship application deadline, the service-learning hour review for International Student Scholarship in the fall semester covers the period from December 1st to May 31st, and for the spring semester, it covers the period from June 1st to November 30th.


6. Students must submit original service-learning hour certificates issued by administrative or teaching units, with their official stamp.
