【OICA】Important Reminders

1. Attendance Requirement
Please be reminded the purpose for all students to stay in Taiwan is to pursue studies. Please ensure you attend classes and avoid absenteeism.
• Special reminder for ISU scholarship recipients: According to Article 14 of the ISU International Student Scholarship Regulations, you must maintain at least 70% attendance in the first nine weeks of the semester. Failure to meet this requirement will result in the cancellation of the scholarship, and recipients will be required to return the full amount awarded for the current semester.

2. Leave Application Process
• If you need to take a leave of absence, please complete the process through the Information System.

3. Part-time Work Guidelines
• If you are working part-time, please note the following:
o The maximum work hours are 20 hours per week for students with a work permit, except during summer and winter vacation.
o Before working, you must obtain a valid work permit and ensure it remains valid. Kindly report your employer information to school when applying for the work permit or when you change your job.
o Be cautious when working part-time: Choose a legitimate employer and ensure your job is legal, safe, and appropriate. Do not engage in illegal work.
